The Treasury, Petra

The Treasury, Petra, as seen from the above

Petra is a historical and archaeological city located in the south of Jordan. The ancient city is famous for its rock-cut architecture. It’s also known as the Rose City due to the colour of the sandstone out of which it is carved. The Treasury, built by the Nabateans, is one of the most elaborate temples in Petra. The site is well known thanks to the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade film.
